Norman A. Logan served 34 years as an instrumental music teacher. Mr. Logan was the director of Instrumental music at Farmington High School in Michigan, where he taught band, orchestra, marching band, jazz ensemble, music theory and auditorium technology. His previous teaching experience includes, Taylor Public Schools, Wayne-Westland Public Schools at John Glenn High School as quest lecturer and instructor for Band Methods and Band Arranging at Eastern Michigan University. Mr. Logan was honored with the City of Wayne’s Jaycees Outstanding Young Educator Award, Teacher of the Year at John Glenn High School, a Citation from the Military Order of the Purple Heart 1994, Honorable Mention in USA Today “All-USA Teacher Teams 1999”, Michigan School Band and Orchestra District 4 Band Teacher of the year and induction in the Farmington Public Schools Teacher Hall of Fame. Mr. Logan continues his 35 years working with the Marching Bands of America/Bands of America/ Music for All Summer Symposium. Mr. Logan is currently the Artist Director and Conductor for the Orchard Lake Philharmonic Orchestra in West Bloomfield Michigan. In 2016 Mr. Logan was made a PAUL HARRIS FELLOW by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
