Music for All has been committed to support music education in Indianapolis Public Schools since 2003, in order to give back to the community of Indianapolis and to strengthen music and arts education first at home.
From 2003-2017, Music for All and Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) came together to present the Indianapolis Marching Band Tournament on the Wednesday night before the Bands of America Grand National Championships. In 2018 & 2019, the four band programs of the IPS high schools came together to perform in Lucas Oil Stadium, while celebrating the community of Indianapolis and IPS.
Since 2016, the Music for All National Festival has begun with the Indianapolis School Music Festival, a non-competive event celebrating the music programs of Indiana. Open instrumental and choral ensembles at any ability level, this event places special emphasis on student-learning and audience support in a positive learning environment while providing K-12 music programs an opportunity to grow as performers.
