Students had the opportunity to hear from guest educators Cameron Jenkins, Michael Gray, and William Earvin, as well as U.S. Marine SSgt. Mardia A. Timoney and Music for All President and CEO Jeremy L. Earnhart as part of the evening event.
Congratulations to the student performers of the IPS Music Showcase at Grand Nationals.
From 2003-2017, Music for All and Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) came together to present the Indianapolis Marching Band Tournament on the Wednesday night before the Bands of America Grand National Championships. In 2018 & 2019, the four band programs of the IPS high schools came together to perform in Lucas Oil Stadium, while celebrating the community of Indianapolis and IPS.
Since 2016, the Music for All National Festival has begun with the Indianapolis School Music Festival, a non-competive event celebrating the music programs of Indiana. Open instrumental and choral ensembles at any ability level, this event places special emphasis on student-learning and audience support in a positive learning environment while providing K-12 music programs an opportunity to grow as performers.
