Max Mullinix

BOA Adjudicator

Max Mullinix (The Woodlands, TX) is a designer, consultant, adjudicator, and educator with more than 20 years of experience in the marching and pageantry arts. His work spans marching band, drum corps, percussion, and Winter Guard International, with a focus on program coordination, music design, percussion, electronics, and overall production development. 

Mullinix’s teaching and design credits include 14 Bands of America Grand National Championships Finalist appearances, five BOA Class AAA National Championships, multiple WGI World Championship Finalists, multiple Texas UIL State Marching Band appearances, three DCI World Championship ensembles, and two performances at The Midwest Clinic. He has also served as an adjudicator for Bands of America, Drum Corps International, and numerous state and regional circuits. 

A former band director in Georgia and Texas, Mullinix continues to work with programs across the country as a designer, consultant, arranger, and mentor. He is passionate about creating cohesive, student-centered productions that integrate music, visual design, percussion, electronics, and technology in meaningful ways. 

Mullinix lives in The Woodlands, Texas, with his wife, Brooke, and their children, Ally and Austin.
