Christopher Yee

Christopher Yee (Leander, TX) serves as the Assistant Fine Arts Director for Leander ISD and President of the Texas Bandmasters Association, where he is committed to supporting fine arts educators and students across Texas.  

Prior to his transition into district leadership, Yee spent 21 years in the classroom. He began his teaching career in Leander ISD in 2005 as an assistant band director at Canyon Ridge Middle School before opening Four Points Middle School as its founding Director of Bands in 2010. Under his leadership, the Four Points Middle School Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the 2015 Midwest Clinic. 

In 2017, Yee joined the Cedar Park High School band staff and became Director of Bands in 2020. During his tenure, the Timberwolf Band earned multiple UIL State Marching Band Championships and consistent TMEA Honor Band finalist placements. 

In 2007, Yee co-founded the Cedar Park Winds, a community ensemble dedicated to providing free, high-quality performances for local students and families. The ensemble has earned national acclaim through featured performances at the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention (2013, 2022) and The Midwest Clinic (2017, 2024). 

A native of Klein, Texas, Yee holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Ithaca College. He remains active as a clinician, all-region conductor, and curriculum writer for the SASI Leadership Company. Yee and his wife, Jenna, live in Cedar Park, Texas, with their two sons, Noah and Ashton.
