Aaron Vogel

BOA Adjudicator

Aaron Vogel (Phoenix, AZ) is a program coordinator, consultant, clinician, guest conductor, and adjudicator who works with music programs across the country to develop excellence in performance, leadership, and program design. He taught in public schools in Arizona, Colorado, and North Carolina from 2002 to 2024, most recently serving as Director of Bands at Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, Arizona. 

His ensembles have been featured at the 2021 Midwest Clinic; the 2023, 2019, and 2012 Music for All National Festival; the 2010 Western International Band Clinic; the Arizona and Colorado Music Educators Conferences; and the national conferences of the International Trumpet Guild, National Flute Association, and International Tuba and Euphonium Association. His marching ensembles earned six state marching band championships, three state runner-up finishes, and the 2022 Bands of America Arizona Class 4A Regional Championship. 

Vogel serves as an adjudicator for Bands of America and numerous state marching band circuits. He has served on the brass staff of Drum Corps International’s The Cadets, The Cavaliers, and Blue Knights, where he was the Music Director for their 2014 performance at the Taoyuan International Band Festival. As a performer, he was an original cast member of the Tony and Emmy Award-winning production Blast! in London’s West End and marched with the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps. 

Vogel currently serves as Grant Programs Specialist for the Osborn School District in Phoenix, Arizona, and is a member of the SASI Leadership Faculty. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master of Music in Music Education and Wind Conducting from the University of Colorado.
