Steve Bentley
Steve Bentley (Salt Lake City, UT) With dual master’s degrees in piano collaboration and orchestral conducting, supported by a bachelor’s degree in piano and trumpet performance, Steve Bentley brings expressive musicianship, exceptional sight-reading skills, and extensive ensemble experience to his work as a sought-after piano collaborator and brass educator.
A current member of the Blue Devils brass staff, Bentley has worked with many of the nation’s leading nonprofit youth music organizations, including the Concord Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard, The Cadets, and Boston Crusaders. He has served on the brass staff of six Drum Corps International World Champions and eight Jim Ott Excellence in Brass Award-winning ensembles, most recently with the Boston Crusaders in 2025. He has also served as a Bands of America adjudicator for nearly 20 years.
In 2002, Bentley served as Assistant Music Director of the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Band, which performed during the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Winter Games.
Bentley lives in Salt Lake City with his beautiful wife, Jennifer.
