Patrick Duncan (Greenacres, FL) began his drum corps career at the age of 16 as a member of the 2003 Spirit of Jacksonville State University Drum and Bugle Corps. He marched as a trumpet player for Spirit in 2003, 2004, and 2005 before moving to The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2006, 2007, and 2008 seasons, serving as section leader his final year. As a marching member, Patrick was a decorated member of The Cadets, earning the honors of being named Visual Rookie of the Year in 2006, Brass Distinguished Service in 2007, and Visual and Brass Cadet of the Year in 2008. Patrick has spent time teaching The Cadets, The Boston Crusaders, and is currently on staff with Carolina Crown.
Patrick served as the Director of Bands for Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley Chapel, Florida from 2013-2017 and as the Director of Bands for Park Vista Community High School from 2017-2021. His bands at Park Vista appeared at the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as the 2019 Bands of America Grand National Championships.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Auburn University and a Master of Arts in Music Education degree from The University of South Florida.
Patrick is currently a real estate agent in Greenacres, Florida. Along with his real estate duties, he designs for bands in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Virginia
