Dr. Ming-Hui Kuo (Greencastle, IN) pursued her early musical training at GuoGuang Performing Arts High School and later at Eternal Life Christ College in Taiwan, where she studied with Dr. Pei-Ching Wu, and Mr. Tzong-Ching Ju, Founder and Artistic Director of Ju Percussion Group—an artistic environment that shaped her musical voice. She earned her Master of Music degree from Morehead State University and completed her Doctor of Musical Arts in Percussion Performance at the University of Kentucky, where she studied with Jim Campbell.

From 1993 to 2002, Kuo was an intern performing member of the internationally renowned Ju Percussion Group. During this formative decade, she presented more than 500 concerts, appearing in major productions at the Taiwan National Concert Hall, innovative music theatre works, national festivals, and international tours across Asia, Europe, Australia, Canada, and the United States. These experiences cultivated her deep interest in theatrical percussion, chamber music, and cross-cultural collaboration. She later co-founded Butterfly Percussion Quartet and XPlorium Chamber Ensemble, continuing her commitment to intimate, exploratory performance. XPlorium Ensemble has been featured at the WASBE Conference and the Chiayi City International Band Festival.

An active clinician and chamber musician since 2007, Kuo has been invited to perform and present at numerous national and regional events, including the Percussive Arts Society Kentucky Day of Percussion, Indiana Percussion Association Clinic Days, Music of the 21st Century Chamber Concerts, the Indiana Music Education Association Conference Day of Percussion, and the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference. She has also led clinic tours throughout Taiwan and regularly appears at colleges and high schools across the Midwest.

She is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor of Percussion at DePauw University and proudly endorses Yamaha.
