Larry Williams (Washington, D.C.) has distinguished himself as a multifaceted performing hornist, recording artist, teacher, and administrator. 

Williams is currently the Hornist of the Gateways Brass Collective and Principal Horn of the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, Piedmont Symphony Orchestra, American Studio Orchestra, and Colour of Music Festival Orchestra. Williams is also a member of the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra, Gateways Festival Orchestra, Lyric Brass Quintet, and Rooftop Wind Quintet. Williams has performed with The New World Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, and San Francisco Symphony. Williams has been featured on U.S., Russia, China, Japan, and U.K. tours, performing with artists like Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Arturo Sandoval, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Roots, and others. Williams has premiered and recorded several horn concerti and solo and chamber music albums.

Williams serves as Adjunct Professor of Horn at Howard University and Washington Adventist University and previously served as Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs at Johns Hopkins University and the Peabody Conservatory and Florida International University faculty.

Williams is a Yamaha Performing Artist & Clinician.
