Keith Kelsey (Baltimore, Maryland), a native of Detroit, MI, is a graduate of Western Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2015. As a woodwind specialist with a primary focus on the flute, he has been teaching music with Baltimore County Public Schools for 10 years. Recognized as a Highly-Effecttive Educator, Keith is also a National Board Certified Teacher Candidate. In addition to his work as a music educator, Keith serves as a union representative, district music curriculum writer, a mentor for new and pre-service teachers, and as a guest conductor for the All-County Middle School Honor Band.
Beyond the classroom, Keith is actively involved in the Baltimore music scene. He proudly held the position of Drum Major for the Baltimore Ravens Marching Band and is a member of Anitas Flutes, a professional flute ensemble.
When not teaching or performing, Keith enjoys staying active through exercise, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
