Kat Johnson
Kat Johnson (Birmingham, AL) is a recently-retired Director of Bands at Garrett Middle School in the Cobb County (GA) School District after 38 years of service. Her experience with marching band, drum corps, color guard, and winter guard has spanned fifty years as performer, instructor, director, and adjudicator. Johnson has also directed high school and middle school band programs in Louisiana, Alabama, and in the greater Atlanta area and currently holds professional affiliations with the National Association for Music Education, Bands of America Summer Camp, and the Gulf Coast Judges Association.
