Having grown up in Indianapolis, Jared developed a love for the performing arts at an incredibly young age. After attending a Performing Arts High School, he went on to study Music Education at Marian University. It was while at Marian that Jared discovered his passion for color guard. He later went on to perform with Zydeco Colorguard “A”, O2 Color Guard, and Onyx. Jared has taught color guard at many Indianapolis area schools including Franklin Central H.S., Danville H.S., Ben Davis H.S., and Avon H.S. Since the summer of 2021 he has been the Assistant-Caption Head of the color guard at Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps. Jared has been on the color guard faculty at the Music for All Summer Symposium since 2016. During the week Jared works full time as a high school Academic Advisor and Color Guard Director at Magnolia West High School. He has two dogs, Milo and Bolin, and lives in Tomball, TX.
