Ben Gervais
Ben Gervais (Olathe, KS) is the assistant band director and percussion specialist at Olathe Northwest high school in Olathe, Kansas. Prior to becoming a full time director in 2024, he was a freelance percussion educator and repair specialist in the Kansas City area.
He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music education from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. He was a band director and percussion and jazz specialist in Missouri before earning a master’s degree in percussion performance with a certificate in higher education administration at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has experience with DCI as a cymbal performer and drum major. He has been a staff member for DCI, WGI, and BOA finalist groups.
He is a member of Percussive Arts Society.
