
Brittany Mori (Kennesaw, GA) is the Director of Bands at Lost Mountain Middle School within the Cobb County School District. The Lost Mountain Middle School Band consists of nearly 500 students with six band classes and is a proud feeder of the nationally recognized Harrison High School (Kennesaw, GA) and Hillgrove High School (Powder Springs, GA) Band Programs.
Under Mori’s direction, the Lost Mountain Middle School Bands have been invited to perform at the Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference (2026), the Reinhardt University Middle School Honor Band Clinic (2025), and the Music for All Southeastern Regional Concert Festival (2024). The Lost Mountain Middle School Bands consistently earn superior ratings at GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluations, and have students earn spots in the District XII Middle School Honor Bands and the Georgia All-State Band. In 2024, the Lost Mountain Bands were part of a consortium project with composer Tyler S. Grant to commission A New Light, and in January 2026, the 8th Grade Symphonic Band premiered a brand new commission by Laura Estes, titled Lost Mountain, after the school namesake. The Lost Mountain Bands were named a national Advocacy in Action Award Recipient in the category of Community Involvement from Music for All in 2025.
Mori is an active concert band clinician and adjudicator throughout the United States. She is a faculty member with the marching band division of the Bands of America Summer Camp and serves on staff with the Harrison High School Marching Band. Mori recently served as the clarinet instructor for the Bands of America Honor Band in the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. She has presented clinics on woodwind pedagogy and teaching at both the GMEA In-Service Conference and The Midwest Clinic.
Mori holds degrees from James Madison University (B.M.) and The University of Georgia (M.M.Ed.). Her family includes Koji Mori, Director of Orchestras at Harrison High School, and their two children.
