Ricardo Robinson-Shinall

Ricardo Robinson-Shinall (Saint Petersburg, FL) is the Visual and Performing Arts Specialist for the School District of Manatee County. Previously, he spent 15 years at Braden River High School as Color Guard and Musical Theatre Director, where his students earned superior ratings and top honors at state thespian festivals. Under his leadership, the Marching Band of Pirates won six Florida State Championships, and the winter guards were consistent FFCC and WGI finalists. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Robinson-Shinall served as Drum Major and Color Guard Captain for the Pride of Mississippi and has directed award-winning programs across the Southeast. His choreography and design credits include the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps, Tampa Independent Winterguard, Eklipse Winter Guard, USF Winterguard, and the two-time DCI SoundSport Champion Medellín Gran Banda. He has judged nationally, served on the Bands of America Summer Camp staff since 2003, and was Color Guard Caption Head for The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in 2024 and 2025. Robinson-Shinall also serves on multiple boards supporting pageantry arts including the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit Board of Directors.
