Brad Huneycutt (McKinney, Texas) is currently an active music arranger, drill writer, educational clinician, and program designer to marching ensembles across the country. With over sixteen years of instructional experience in music education, he served as a high school band director in Texas. Huneycutt received his academic training with a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master of Music in instrumental conducting from Texas Christian University (TCU). He has had teaching opportunities served at TCU, Prosper High School, William B. Travis High School, and Lake Highlands High School. Huneycutt is an adjudicator for the Drum Corps International (DCI) Summer Music Games and was a member of the DCI World Champion Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. In addition, he is an active clinician and adjudicator for indoor and outdoor performing ensembles, including Bands of America (BOA). Huneycutt’s concert ensembles have received superior division ratings at the University Interscholastic League Concert & Sight-reading contests, and have earned distinction as “Best in Class” at various regional concert festivals. Huneycutt’s marching ensembles have earned trips to the UIL State Marching Band Contest and have been consistent BOA Regional and Grand National finalists.
