This session presents a mindset-focused and instruction-based approach to creating student success in challenging educational environments by emphasizing purposeful connections, high expectations, and daily growth. The presentation focuses on what educators can control and influence, addressing immediate challenges, and building a culture of safety, mentorship, and recognition to help drive progress. A systematic and concise approach to addressing challenges in daily music instruction for these students will also be provided.
