Chuck Henson (Inverness, FL) For 35 years, Chuck Henson was the primary public address announcer for Bands of America’s series of Regional and Grand National Championships. He is also a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Florida.

Chuck served as a News Anchor and Traffic Expert for Spectrum Bay News 9 as part of Your Morning News from 2010 to 2022.

Emmy-nominated (2014) for his television work in Tampa, Chuck was named Best Local Traffic Reporter in the 2014 Creative Loafing Best of the Bay Reader Poll. He was featured in the 2011 Winter/Spring issue of Pete Magazine and was a proud participant in the 2010 Tampa Bay’s Dancing with the Stars Charity Event hosted by Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay. Chuck has served as the Grand Marshall for the 2015 Dunedin Mardi Gras and the 2011 St. Petersburg AIDS Walk.

Chuck’s love for music and music education is prevalent in everything he does. In May 2023, Chuck was a featured narrator at the Association of Concert Bands National Convention in Orlando. He regularly emcees the Tampa Pride Band concerts and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.

As a product of his high school band and choral programs, Chuck works hard to promote and enhance the growth of music education. Chuck is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Journalism and has been recognized by the State of Kentucky as a Kentucky Colonel.
