Indianapolis Public Schools

Music for All has been a proud supporter of music education in Indianapolis Public Schools since our relocation to Indianapolis in 2003. Since then, Music for All continues to find ways to create, provide, and expand positively life-changing experiences through music for students in IPS.

In 2023, Music for All was awarded $400,000 to continue our efforts in elevating music education in IPS. Read more here.

Indianapolis Music Showcase

From 2003 through 2017, Music for All and Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) came together to present the Indianapolis Marching Band Tournament on the Wednesday night before the Bands of America Grand National Championships. Since 2018, band, choir, and orchestra students from the four IPS high schools have come together to perform in Lucas Oil Stadium during the Bands of America Grand Nationals Prelims to celebrate the community of Indianapolis and IPS.

Indianapolis School Music Festival

Since 2016, the Music for All National Festival has begun with the Indianapolis School Music Festival, a non-competive event celebrating the music programs of Indiana. Open instrumental and choral ensembles at any ability level, this event places special emphasis on student-learning and audience support in a positive learning environment while providing K-12 music programs an opportunity to grow as performers.
