Paula Corley is a Texas music educator whose passion is the clarinet. She is the “mayor” of Clarinet City, a website for all things clarinet. She currently serves as the pedagogy chair for the International Clarinet Association, clarinet instructor at Texas Lutheran University and on the Texas University Interscholastic League’s State Solo and Ensemble adjudication panel. Paula is the author of So You Want to Play the Clarinet and The Break published by Kaiser Southern and distributed through Hal Leonard. She is a Vandoren Performing Artist.

Paula has presented at 40 conferences throughout the US including The Midwest Clinic, ClarinetFest, Texas Music Educators Association, and Texas Bandmasters Association and for similar conferences in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Virginia and Arizona. Her articles about clarinet teaching have appeared in the The Instrumentalist, The Texas Bandmasters Review, THE CLARINET, and in WAVE, an online newsletter produced by Vandoren. She currently has three commissions for clarinet by Michael Markowski, Clifton Jones, and Carol Brittin Chambers. She is an alumnus of Southern Methodist University (MM) and Mississippi State University (BME) where she was named Alumnus of the Year in Music in 2013.
