When Noelle Tretick Gosling was a student at the North Carolina School of the Arts, she was both a violin and ballet major. These dual interests brought her scholarships to both the Aspen Music Festival and Ballet West before she finally decided to pursue her music performance degrees at the Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana.

Noelle has been known for many years as a member of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and longtime extra player with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. She also works with the Louisville Orchestra and is Concertmaster of the Muncie Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to classical, she enjoys playing all genres of music and is in demand as a recording artist for music publishing companies as well as Broadway shows. Her tours with legendary performers including Stevie Wonder, Johnny Mathis, Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Harry Connick Jr, Sandi Patty, Andy Williams, Mel Torme, Perry Como and Manhattan Transfer have taken her from coast to coast.

In addition to performing, Noelle has served on the music faculties of Anderson University and Park Tudor School in Indianapolis. She now maintains a private teaching studio and coaches students of the New World Youth Orchestra in Indianapolis, as well as summer string camps and festivals.

Noelle is one of five children, all of whom are professional musicians. Their father, the late Sidney Tretick, was a virtuoso violinist and head of the string department at Ball State University from 1952-1962. Her mother, Patricia Tretick, was also a violinist on the Ball State faculty and, along with her husband, a founding member of the Ars Musica String Quartet. She retired in 1993 and currently resides in Phoenix, AZ.

Noelle’s husband, Dan, is a professional trumpet player and the inventor of ChopSaver lip care. Their son, Anthony, is a senior at Indiana University pursuing a degree in Media and Film Production.
