Marissa Turney is currently a Percussion Specialist in the Carmel-Clay School District in Carmel, Indiana. Marissa’s primary responsibilities include weekly private lessons and classroom instruction for students 6th-8th grade at Carmel, Creekside, and Clay Middle Schools. She seasonally works with the Carmel Drum Club, as well as the Carmel High School Orchestra and Concert Band program. Marissa was a staff member for the CHS Winter Percussion Program and Marching Greyhounds in 2016 and 2017.

Marissa received her MM in Percussion Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana and her BM in Percussion Performance from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. Marissa is originally from Wesley Chapel, Florida and is a graduate of Wesley Chapel High School. Her teachers include John Tafoya, Kevin Bobo, Michael Spiro, Steve Houghton, Thad Anderson, Jeff Moore, and Kirk Gay.
