Jenny Neslen Stowers (Young Harris, GA) was born and raised in Sylva, North Carolina. She followed her passion for music and completed her bachelor’s degree in music education at Western Carolina University, where she served as the drum major and staff coordinator for the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band under the direction of Bob Buckner. From 2000 to 2014, Stowers served as a clinician for the WCU Summer Symposium. She has been on staff for Bands of America Summer Camp since 2024.

Stowers has lived in Towns County, Georgia, for 23 years, where she worked for the Towns County School System from 2003 to 2019 as a teacher, director of the after school program, and with the Towns County Family Connection. Stowers now works at Young Harris College as the Director of the First Year Experience and teaches several courses in the Outdoor Studies Department. She has a Master of Arts in Education from Piedmont College and lives in Young Harris, Georgia, with her husband, Jason, of 20 years, and her two sons, Jack and James.
