Jenny Neslen Stowers was born and raised in Sylva, NC. Jenny followed her passion for music and completed her bachelor’s degree in music education at Western Carolina University. Where she served as the drum major and staff coordinator for the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band under the direction of Bob Buckner. From 2000 to 2014 Mrs. Stowers served as a clinician for the WCU Summer Symposium. Jenny has lived in Towns County, GA for 21 years where she worked for the Towns County School System from 2003-2019 as a teacher, director of the afterschool program, and with the Towns County Family Connection. Jenny now works at Young Harris College as the coordinator of the First Year Experience and teaches several courses in the Outdoor Studies Department. She has a Master of Arts in Education from Piedmont College and lives in Young Harris, GA with her husband, Jason, of 18 years, and her two sons, Jack and James.
