J.R. Snow is the K-12 Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts and Director of the Harrisonburg High School Fine Arts Academy for Harrisonburg City Public Schools in Harrisonburg Virginia. Mr. Snow also serves as the Executive Director of the Virginia Music Educators Association. Mr. Snow is also the Executive Director of Any Given Child Shenandoah Valley, a 501c3 organization that focuses on access and equity in the arts for children in the communities of Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County, Virginia. Mr. Snow shares music and leadership as an adjudicator, clinician, and conductor throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mr. Snow’s music ensembles consistently earned superior ratings at competitions and festivals in concert, marching, and jazz idioms during his teaching tenure in Virginia. Mr. Snow has served his alma mater James Madison University as Assistant Director of the JMU Marching Royal Dukes, as an adjunct professor in the College of Education, and as a member of the JMU Alumni Association Board of Directors. Mr. Snow has served as a National Endowment of the Arts Education Grant Panelist, Virginia Music Education Association Council for Innovation Chair, and Strategic Planning Leadership Facilitator for the Kennedy Center Any Given Child Program.

J.R. is most proud of the work he and his wife Kelly do to teach their three children, Annie, Olivia, and Jack, about service, hope, love, compassion, and dreaming.
