Clark Cothran currently resides in Mt. Pleasant, SC at Wando High School. He is an active music educator, private lessons instructor, private drill writer, and clinician. Clark is a graduate from The University of South Carolina with a Bachelor in Music Education degree and has studied trumpet privately with James Ackley and Allen Vizzutti.

Clark has performed as a lead trumpet player with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps and the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, where he received numerous awards as a performer. During his last season as a performer, Clark served as Horn Sergeant of the Blue Devils for his age out year. The leadership, performing, and solo experiences in drum corps has allowed Clark to be an international performer/soloist and instructor in foreign countries such as Japan and Taiwan.

He has had the pleasure of instructing and choreographing for several award-winning marching bands in BOA and SCBDA including Wando High School. The Wando Band is a consistent BOA Grand National Finalist and has earned 10 AAAAA SCBDA Marching Band Championships. Other groups that he has worked with include River Bluff High School, Boiling Springs High School, and Nation Ford High School. Clark is currently on staff at The Blue Devils B Drum and Bugle Corps.
