Christine Dillon (Dunedin, Florida) holds a B.A. in Education and an M.A. in Cross-Cultural Studies and Education. With 23 years of experience as an elementary school teacher, she is passionate about nurturing young minds and excels in the art of classroom instruction.

Dillon’s involvement in the marching arts has spanned four decades. This began at age 14 when she joined her high school’s color guard. Her dedication and enthusiasm for the activity led her to become an instructor for several scholastic color guards in Southern California. Dillon’s achievements as an instructor helped her to eventually become a national judge, specializing in the captions of color guard, general effect, visual analysis, and ensemble visual. She is a judge for several prestigious organizations such as Bands of America, Drum Corps International, Winter Guard International, and various other circuits across the United States.

In her administrative capacity, Dillon served as the Education Director of the Winter Guard Association of Southern California for eight years, overseeing color guard classification and instructor education for over 350 color guards in Southern California. She is also a member of the advisory board for colorguardeducators.com and has contributed numerous instructional articles to the site. Additionally, Dillon’s expertise is reflected in her five-year tenure as the author of the “Guard” byline for Halftime Magazine, where her performer-education articles have been archived.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and husband, Wayne Dillon.
