Bryan Crisp (Independence, KY) Bryan Crisp has toured the United States extensively as a trumpet soloist and music educator. As a soloist with “Mr. Jack Daniel’s Original Silver Cornet Band” and previous member of “Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass,” Bryan has performed in concert halls in 38 states.
Bryan is a winner of the National Trumpet Competition and the Tennessee Trumpet Competition and performs regularly with major orchestras including the Cincinnati Symphony, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, Dayton Philharmonic, and the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra. In addition, Bryan performs regularly with Broadway Across America productions in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas.
As a music educator, Mr. Crisp is in demand as a Brass Education Clinician, Marching Arts consultant & works with award winning band programs as program coordinator, score editor as well as serving as a clinician for national and state conferences. Mr. Crisp is also an active adjudicator with Drum Corp International (DCI), Bands of America (BOA), Winter Guard International (WGI), various local circuits around the country, ITG and the National Trumpet Competition. Mr. Crisp has held Instructor of Trumpet positions at Wittenberg University, Mt. St. Joseph University and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Bryan is also Founder and Artistic Director of Tri-State Ensembles, a program for high school students that focuses solely on chamber music education.
Bryan holds two undergraduate degrees from Tennessee Technological University in Music Education and Music Performance and a Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Bryan can be heard on ten recordings, the latest of which is available through Summit Records entitled Classic Hymns. Bryan lives in Northern Kentucky with his wife Sarah and daughters Sadie and Georgia.
