Bryan Crisp (Independence, KY) has toured the United States extensively as a trumpet soloist and music educator performing and educating in concert halls in over 40 states.
Crisp is a winner of the National Trumpet Competition and the Tennessee Trumpet Competition and performs regularly with major orchestras including the Cincinnati Symphony, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, Dayton Philharmonic, and the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra. In addition, Crisp performs regularly with Broadway Across America productions in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas.
As a music educator, Crisp is in demand as a marching arts consultant, clinician for national and state conferences, and he works with award-winning band programs as program coordinator and score editor. Crisp is also an active adjudicator with Drum Corps International, Bands of America, Winter Guard International, various local circuits around the country, ITG, and the National Trumpet Competition. Crisp has held Instructor of Trumpet positions at Wittenberg University, Mt. St. Joseph University, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is also Founder and Artistic Director of Tri-State Ensembles, a program for high school students that focuses solely on chamber music education.
Crisp holds two undergraduate degrees from Tennessee Technological University in music education and music performance and a Master of Music degree in trumpet performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Crisp can be heard on ten recordings, the latest of which is available through Summit Records entitled Classic Hymns.
Crisp is a Yamaha Performing Artist and Patrick Mouthpiece Artist.
