Ms. Slone is finishing up her third year at Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, GA.  She teaches the Symphonic 1 and 2 bands, sponsors Hillgrove’s jazz program, serves as the GHP fine arts coordinator and is the club sponsor for Tri-M, a nationally recognized music honor society. During her time at Hillgrove, the concert bands have received consistent superior ratings at the GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation. In the summer of 2019, the band program traveled to Normandy, France to march in the 75th annual D-Day parade.

Ms. Slone graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education. She was a recipient of the Charles Patterson Sr. Memorial scholarship, UGA Foundation scholarship and UGA Redcoat Band scholarship.

Currently, Ms. Slone serves as an active clinician, adjudicator and performer with the Cobb Wind Symphony. Her professional affiliations include GMEA, NAfME and PAGE. She enjoys attending conferences and conducting workshops to better serve her students.

Ms. Slone lives in Kennesaw, GA and loves reading, chai tea lattes and playing Animal Crossing. Her favorite movie is WALL-E.
