Jamie Cabot (Cypress, TX) is a veteran music educator with a successful 15-year career as a middle school band director in Texas and Colorado. Bands under her direction consistently earned consecutive UIL Sweepstakes awards, performed at regional music events, and achieved finalist status in the Class CCC Texas Music Educators Association Honor Band Competition. Throughout her classroom tenure, Cabot focused on program cultivation, successfully doubling student enrollment and expanding the number of performing ensembles within her program. She also doubled the number of students earning placement in All-Region honor groups, establishing her program as a top-ranking presence at region auditions.

During her career in the classroom, Cabot was heavily involved in professional leadership, serving her state organizations as a middle school band chair at both the division and region levels. In these roles, she organized honor band auditions, clinics, and concert events. She continues to maintain an active role in music education as an adjudicator, conductor, and clinician, working with programs across Texas, Wyoming, and Idaho.

Cabot holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the University of Wyoming. After relocating to Texas, she continued her performance career as a member of the Cypress Winds, Carrollton Wind Symphony, and as a substitute musician with the Dallas Wind Symphony.

In her current role focusing on sales and educator success for MakeMusic and Alfred Music, Cabot continues to be a strong advocate for music education. She travels to dozens of major industry trade shows annually, presenting sessions and working face-to-face with music educators across the nation. In this capacity, she serves as a practical classroom resource, helping directors successfully integrate digital practice tools to improve student accountability, maximize rehearsal efficiency, and elevate overall program success.
