Tim Linley is proud to serve the teachers and students of Dallas ISD as Executive Director of Visual & Performing Arts. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Linley served as Director of Instrumental Music for Dallas ISD, Fine Arts Coordinator for the Richardson High School Cluster in Richardson ISD, and as Director of Bands at Centennial High School in Frisco ISD.

Mr. Linley earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baylor University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. Bands under his leadership have performed at the UIL State Marching Contest, placed Runner-Up at the TMEA Honor Band Contest, been named

Grand Champion at various concert band festivals, and have exclusively received UIL Sweepstakes Awards. Mr. Linley is in high demand as a clinician and adjudicator, working with concert and marching bands from throughout the state of Texas. Mr. Linley has served as Texas Bandmasters Association Representative for Region 24, Texas Music Educators Association Band Division Chairman for Region 3, in addition to serving on the UIL State Sight-Reading Committee. Currently, Mr. Linley serves on the Executive Committees for UIL Region 20 and UIL Marching Area C.

Mr. Linley’s professional affiliations include: Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Administrators Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, Phi Beta Mu, and Phi Mu Alpha.
