Brantley T. Douglas III is currently the Associate Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. His responsibilities include directing the Bear Marching Band, the Symphonic Band, the Purple Rage Pep Band, and the University Band. He is the former Director of Athletic Bands at Christopher Newport University, Newport News, Virginia and Assistant Director of Bands at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia.

A native of New Jersey, Brantley earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he participated in every major ensemble. His graduate studies were completed at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he earned his Masters and Specialist degrees in Music Education and was on the staff of The Michigan Marching Band. He also developed his skills in music technology where he assisted and taught workshops on that topic.

He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Pi Kappa Lambda and is an honorary member of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma. He is active as an adjudicator judging marching and concert ensembles throughout the United States and has served as the Marching Band Coordinator and Chief Judge for America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit, Michigan. He is also a clinician for Pygraphics of Grapevine, Texas where he serves as a clinician and technology consultant.
